After a small break, here’s our first non-BBQ sauce review: the HP Steak Sauce, “a delicious pepper sauce” !
It comes in a glass bottle like the classic HP brown sauce but its packaging is really nice and it’s labelled as “HP Specials” on the top label.
When you take a look at the ingredients it looks like a barbecue sauce without the sweet and smokey flavor but with black pepper instead…
Let’s open up: the smell is just “yummm”, with flavours of vinegar, pepper and tomatoes. But damn, it’s hard to get out from the bottle because it’s really thick and sticky ! Let’s taste it… it’s between brown sauce and barbecue sauce but with a really good pepper kick ! Great
We haven’t tested it with a steak (with potatoes and peas like suggested on the label) but we’ll do it real soon. If you prefer creamy pepper sauce, just forget this one, other ones, try it straight away
Oh, and the refurbished HP logo is really cool !
